Alka Seltzer, Not Just For Tummies

Look What you can do with Alka Seltzer...

Clean a toilet: Drop 2 tablets, wait twenty miniutes, brush and flush.
Polish Jewelry: Drop 2 tables into a glass of water and immerse the jewelry for 2 minutes.
Clean a Thermos: Fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka Seltzer, let soak for 1 hour or longer.
Unclog a Drain: Drop 3 Alka Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of white vinegar.
Wait a few minutes, then run hot water.

Celery Wrap

Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.

Candle Sense

Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least 3 hours prior to burning.
Try it.

Make Them Last

Whenever I purchase a box of S.O.S. (brillo) pads, I immediately take a pair of scissors and cut each pad into halves. Much more economical and sharper scissors.

Don't Discard, Reuse

Use empty toilet paper rolls to store cords behind your computor or entertainment center.
You can also write on the roll what the cord is for.

Empy Cereal and other food item boxes are great for storing reciept magazines or small books.
Just cut the box diaginally and they store neatly upright.

Large Cheerios box works great for magazines. Why pay for fancy organization?
